Our Story
ESCA Coffee was born from a deep love of coffee and a desire for transparency and honesty. Founder Rashida traveled from Amsterdam to the verdant plateaus of Minas Gerais, Brazil—in search of its origins. There, among the coffee fields, she discovered that truly good coffee isn't just about taste, but about people, communities, and lasting connections.
A journey to the source
On a sunny morning, Rashida walked through the hills of Minas Gerais, where the aroma of ripe coffee cherries and red earth greeted her. There, she met farming families who had been cultivating coffee for generations with pure dedication. She listened to stories about harvests, seasons, and traditions—stories that rarely reach the supermarket shelves.
That trip became the foundation for ESCA Coffee: a brand built on direct collaboration with the source, fair prices, and coffee that tastes like the place where it's grown. Back in the Netherlands, the idea arose to connect coffee drinkers with the origins of their cup – without the middleman, without the noise.
My coffee is something I truly stand behind. I want customers to enjoy it, but also for the coffee farmers to benefit. Their coffee has never before reached the international market. It feels special to open this new chapter with them.
With genuine intention, empathy, and respect, we're building a lasting partnership where everyone feels seen and valued. Together, we proudly bring their coffee to the European market.
— Rashida, founder of ESCA Coffee
Every berry counts
In Brazil, coffee cherries ripen slowly in the sun. This creates a richer and more refined flavor profile. Our beans are hand-picked, carefully selected, and roasted only to order. This allows the freshness, craftsmanship, and natural complexity of the bean to shine in your cup.
Hand-picked coffee cherries in the sun — this is where the real taste experience begins.
Choose ESCA Coffee with confidence: transparent, full of flavor, and made to connect. We strive for premium coffee, fairly sourced and accessible to everyone. Straight from Brazil, straight to your cup.
