Natural cultivation with respect for the earth
In the hills of Minas Gerais, Brazil, our coffee plants grow in fertile soil, surrounded by shade trees and biodiversity. Our farmers don't use unnecessary fertilizers or harmful pesticides. By working with natural methods, the soil and water remain clean and healthy—just as nature intended.
This not only means higher-quality beans, but also a vibrant ecosystem where birds, insects, and other crops thrive. Shade afforestation and crop rotation are a given for our farmers, contributing to the conservation of local flora and fauna.

Direct trade and fair pricing
Much of the coffee on the global market goes through intermediaries, often resulting in farmers earning too little. At ESCA Coffee, we take a different approach: we buy directly from small farming families and pay a fair price, far exceeding the fair trade standard. This allows them to invest in their farms, their children's education, and sustainable techniques for the future.
Our collaboration is personal and transparent. Rashida, founder of ESCA Coffee, visits the farms herself and maintains direct contact with the farmers. This builds trust and guarantees that every bean is grown and harvested with love and expertise.
Sustainable production and packaging
After harvest, the beans are slowly dried in the sun and roasted only to order. This prevents waste and ensures you receive fresh coffee with a rich aroma. We also continuously work to reduce our environmental footprint: we use energy-efficient roasting methods and are always looking for new ways to operate even greener.
Our packaging is recyclable and free of unnecessary plastic. We're researching compostable alternatives so your coffee not only tastes great but is also good for the planet. Because sustainability doesn't stop at the farm—it's woven into our entire process.
